What Is eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a GSMA-standardized programmable SIM soldered into device hardware. Carrier profiles are downloaded over-the-air via SM-DP+ servers. For European travelers, this means one plan covering 30+ countries without physical SIM swaps.

Activation Protocol

Purchase plan online

Provider generates QR code linked to SM-DP+ server. Requires Wi-Fi during installation.

Open eSIM settings

Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM (iOS) | Settings → SIM Manager (Android)

Scan QR code

Profile downloads in 5–10 minutes. Device connects to SM-DP+ server.

Configure data line

Set eSIM as cellular data line. Enable data roaming. You're connected.
